In 1924 French brothers Adam and Maurice-Pillard Verneuil produced a porfolio 'Kaléidoscope, Ornements Abstraits; Quatre-vingt-sept Motifs en Vingt Planches' which is considered a masterpiece of Art Deco design. The portfolio was to serve as an inspiration for textile designers.
