In my quest to visit and illustrate all 19 South African parks I came to this beauty nestled close to the picturesque town of Swellendam. This is a species specific national park and as the name suggests it is home to the Bontebok. It is also the smallest national park measuring only 27.86 km². "Bont" is the Afrikaans word for colourful and I took my chance to give this majestic creature it's own vivid showcase.
